Postcard Friendship Friday

I received this beautiful card from my friend Essi in Finland. When she saw this card, she thought about me, she said. I absolutely love this card and the colors are just awesome. Thank you for this gorgeous card. It's without a doubt one of my very favorite ones in my collection. Hugs to you Essi!

This was the stamp on the envelope. Also, a really great one.

Cambodia

This past week has been really great. I've received some absolutely wonderful cards and among
them some new countries, which I'm really so excited and happy about and I just had to feature them here. This one is of the Kingdom of Cambodia. Align Center

A private swap and an absolutely fantastic card. This is a temple called 'Ta Prohm'. Those trees are just amazing and I don't think I've ever seen them quite like this, the way the roots are all entwined and on the outside.
This is also where some scenes of some famous movies were filmed, such as 'Tomb Raider' and 'Troy'.
Great card and I love it! Thank you so much Jo!

This one has 2 cancellations and quite visible. The stamp is a really pretty pink, which faded in the process of scanning.

South Korea

Another card from South Korea added to my collection. I've been swapping some cards and received this colorful one. It's just gorgeous!

This is called 'Talchum', and is one of Korea's traditional dances. It is performed wearing masks and singing. It's actually more than just a dance, the dancers are putting on a drama and each masked character is portraying a person, or animal, or a supernatural being. Some of these folk dramas reflect the antipathy and resentment felt by the common people towards nobility.
I love those colorful costumes and the workmanship that went into them and the masks, wow!

South Korea has some really beautiful and colorful stamps too. The colors of the stamps don't quite come across as well after being scanned, as they are on the card. They are much more vibrant.

Argentina

I received these 2 beautiful cards yesterday, as a result of joining a Round Robin. Argentina is a new country in my collection. I'm so happy to have these cards. Thank you so much Anne!

This is Buenos Aires and I absolutely love this card of the city. The colors of the sky are fantastic and all the lights are awesome. A gorgeous card!

This here a completely different view of Argentina. It's amazing! I guess I hadn't realized the diversity of the country. I think it would be a wonderful place to visit. I'm happy just to be able to see all the great sights this country has to offer in these 2 cards.
Both cards had the same stamp and neither one of them had a cancellation. A very interesting and pretty stamp though.

Montevideo, Uruguay

I was really excited to receive this card, since it's my first one from Uruguay and I'd say, a probably more rarer one to get. I thought this time I'd also add a few interesting facts I found about this country. Montevideo, is the capital city of Uruguay and 1.7 million people live there and its metropolitan area, out of the 3.46 million for the whole country. An estimated 94.6% of the population are mostly of European descent. Uruguay is the second smallest country in South America.
The card shows the Buceo Port, which is the Diving Port. It was named after the divers who were looking for a shipwreck treasure in the area in 1752. The sports port was inaugurated in 1939.

This card is from a Round Robin. Thank you so much to Atali, who sent me this great addition to my collection.

Also a very interesting stamp which was located on the buttom right of the card, instead of the usual top right.

PORTUGUESE POSTCROSSING MEETING

Today I received this great card from Martinha of Portugal. She went to the postcrosser's meeting last week-end in Coimbra and sent me this card from there. Wow, it's my first one from an actual postcrossing get-to-gether and with all the signatures of those who attended. I think that is really special and I thought it'd be the perfect one to post here today for PFF. Coimbra is a beautiful city and pictured here is the Portagen Square. I can just imagine Marta sitting in that very spot!
Thank you so much Marta. It was a wonderful surprise and made me very happy!

Aren't they sweet?

Since Marta also knows my love for bears, she included this mother and baby bear for me. This is Tuli, a 5 year old bear with his Mom, they live in the Lisbon Zoo. Aren't they just adorable! I love them! Thanks Marta for thinking of me, when you saw the card and sending it.:)
