More Moomins

Yeah, some more Moomin cards. I love them and am always happy to find them in my mail box. They're just sooo cute and bring a smile to my face. My collections is slowly growing:)

This one came from Finland for the June RR. Many thanks to Ari for sending it my way. I love it!

A really nice stamp, that wasn't postmarked. I think Finland has some beautiful stamps.

This one came all the way from Malaysia from Anis, who loves Moomins too and sent me one for the April RR. Thank you so much!

Here you clearly can see the postmark, but it did cover the stamp a bit.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

This great card shows the Sultan Samad Building, which is the Judicial Department and High Court. The card says, that it was constructed in 1987 and has long been a landmark for Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia. I can see why, I think it's such a beautiful architectural building and I love this view very much. A big thank you goes to Shian Chin for sending me this wonderful card for the May RR.

A really great stamp of a Malaysian submarine.

Malaysia

Another week-end gone, wow. I don't know where the time goes. Seems like I just got off from work and looking forward to 2 days off:), and now it's time to go back:(.
The work days should pass so quickly.
At least I was able to rest up some and also get some cards scanned, so I wanted to put some here.

This one is a really awesome map card from Malaysia. I love this card! Many thanks to Anis for sending it. It was for the March RR.

The stamp on the left is really nice. I like it a lot! It's great!

Postcard Friendship Friday

Yeah, it's Friday and I want to share some of the great cards that I've received. It's a mixture of different topics and I love each and every one of them and they are even more special, since they were sent by my very thoughtful and kind friends. It gives me a good feeling to know, that even though everybody is so busy with their lives, there is someone, somewhere, in this world thinking of me, when they're taking the time to write me a card.

More bears from my friend Essi. She saw this card and thought about me. How wonderful and of course I love it. They are so cute and adorable. Makes you wanna get a big great bearhug lol. Thank you so much Essi. It was an awesome surprise to get it!

I received this great card from my friend Lyan. It's of the Cameron Highlands in Malaysia. Lyan took a little short vacation and sent all her friends a card from there. It looks so relaxing and serene. I could use a few days there to just destress, or really just get away from it all. There are a lot of tea plantations there and the rich soil provides for growing vegetables and berries too. Lovely place. Thanks Lyan, you're sweet to send this card!

This great and beautiful card I received from Markus. It's my very first one of Aland. It shows a little bit of everything there, including the flag, a lighthouse and a small map on the buttom left corner. Aland has 6500 islands and islets. Also pictured is the Yacht Club Restaurant , which is very popular. I wonder whether Markus maybe sits there sometimes and writes some of his postcards and just enjoys the beautiful surroundings? Pictured on the buttom is the museum ship Pommern, which was built in 1903. It's a really great card and I love it! Thank you so much for sending it Markus!

I received this Alabama Mapcard from Lori about a month ago. I'm just getting started with my mapcard collection and Lori was kind enough to help me out with this one. Thanks so much Lori!
I think the mapcards are very informative and colorful and tell so much about a place.

Postcard Friendship Friday

Since I'm actually posting today, on a Friday and it being Friendship Day, I think it's very appropriate to show some of the beautiful cards I have received from some of my friends from the 'GTKY' thread. They are a bunch of great girls and they've become very special friends to me.

These wonderful cards are from Lyan. She sent them in her first letter to me. The top one is of the 'Prophet's Holy Mosque' in Medinah. I absolutely love this card and it's very special to me for a lot of reasons. Thank you soooooo much Lyan.

The other card shows a beautiful dawn on the East Coast of Malaysia. Beautiful colors and I love palms and really miss seeing them now. Thanks Lyan for these wonderful cards.

This one is from Laura. She sent it to me in her first letter to me. She went to London in February and had a great time. I love the colors on this card. It's just beautiful. Thanks very much Laura!

These are from Valerie. One from her trip to Strasbourg. It's an UNESCO site and the other one is of the famous Fountain of Trevi in Rome, also from one of her recent trips. Thanks so very much Val for the wonderful cards and thinking of me!

This one is from Essi in Finland of her hometown Lappeenranta. Thanks Essi for the great card!

From the 'GTKY' girls

Lyan of Malaysia from the 'GTKY' gang sent me this gorgeous
card of the Federal Territory Mosque.
It's set on a 13.4-hectacre landscaped garden
and it has 22 domes with the main one measuring
30 meters in diameter and rising 45 meters
from the ground level. It's the biggest mosque
in Malaysia, located in Kuala Lumpur
Thank you Lyan. It's absolutely breathtaking.
This one is from Kriszti, one of our newer
girls to the 'GTKY' thread. She went to Scotland
this past week-end and sent me this beautiful
card of Urquhart Castle at Loch Ness.
Imagine somewhere in those waters roams
'Nessie' lol.
I really love this card! Thank you so much
Kriszti!
