Hamilton, Ontario

This card came this week from LizzyS for the June North American Round Robin.
It's a lovely view of the city.
Lizzy wrote, that Hamilton has a population of about 505,000.
Also there is a lot of green space there for running, walking, hiking trails, the beach and places to ride.
Sounds like a lovely place to live.
Thank you for the great card!

A lot of interesting and colorful stamps on this card.

Grizzly Bear, Canada

Loooove this 'Did you know?' card.  Not only is it very informative and a bear too.  A perfect card for me.  It was sent to me by phuleshouse for the North America September RR.  Thank you so very much Rose for sending me this adorable, awesome card.  I love it!
The card tells all the facts about Grizzly Bears, which is great.  The maple leaves on the card are embossed.  Beautiful card!!!!

Really nice colorful stamps of different insects and the big one on the left top is 'Home Children'.

The Great Lakes

The Great Lakes are located between the United States and Canada. They consist of 5 lakes as seen on the map and are the largest group of freshwater lakes on earth. Sometimes called the North Coast by Americans. They hold 20 % of the world's surface fresh water. (Source wikipedia)

I received this great map card for the July RR. Thank you Ange for this nice addition to my map collection.

These lighthouses are all located around the Great Lakes. I just love this card and I want to thank choke for sending me this beautiful card for the North American July RR.

Bear from British Columbia, Canada

It's been a while since I've posted here. Always too much going on with work and everyday life and just being totally exhausted from it all, plus not feeling my best here lately. Finally a week-end off, yeah!!!!

I wanted to show this totally cool card which I received for the April Round Robin. It's my first wooden card and a bear on it too, so it's totally perfect for me, since I love bears and this one is a cutie, even though he has a very serious look about him. I was very lucky that the card didn't get damaged going through the mail. It's made from Eastern Red Cedar and was sent to me from Canada. Thank you soooooo much to Tam for sending me this totally awesome card. I loooooove it!!!!! It's one of my very special cards in my collection!

A little bit of info about the Black Bear. It's one of the most common bear species native to North America and it can run as fast as 50 km per hour. The black bears are considered highly efficient hibernators and can live up to 33 years old.

Cute Kitty

This cute kitty was a lottery win. I think this is such an adorable card and I love it!
Thank you so much to Carole from Canada.

I haven't been able to find any animal cards here. They're all just touristic ones, that's being sold in the stores. I think I'll have to check on-line for them and see what I can find there.
So, that makes this card even more special.:)

Lovely flower stamps. Makes me think of spring time.

2nd Ontario/Toronto Meet-up

I received this great card of the Ontario/Toronto meet-up with the signatures of the participants: renegade-cavalcade, blind-melonette, Taxingwoman and cawindt. Thanks to all of you!
I absolutely love this card. It's soooooo adorable. Thank you so much Marie for thinking of me and sending me this cuuuute card!

Since we had another winter storm this week-end and we've gotten a lot of snow again, these cuties would feel quite at home right here now, lol. It's been crazy here, because we don't get a lot of snow here at all and this is the 3rd storm this winter. I must admit, I took a peek outside tonite and the snow is really lovely, the way it's glistening in the moon light and covering the trees and blanketing everything. Such a quiet, peaceful feeling!! But tomorrow it will be time to shovel the car out and so on, which isn't so much fun.
It was nice to be able to stay inside and not have to worry about going out for 2 days and just relax some and update and scan postcards and watch some movies. But tomorrow it's back to work.

RAS Cards

I received two beautiful RAS cards in one week. I was really pleasantly surprised and moved by the thoughtfulness of my friends Lyan and Relie of the GTKY gang. Thanks so much girls, it was a lovely surprise.

My first Moomin card. I just love it! It was sent to me by Marzze on the behalf of my friend Lyan. I saw her Mommin cards on her blog and made a comment on how great they are and she had one sent to me. That was such a thoughtful and kind thing to do. Thanks so much Lyan!

This is the Hockey Hall of Fame in Canada sent by Sherry on the behalf of my GTKY friend Relie. Thanks so much for thinking of me.
