Wow, I can't believe how time flies and I haven't been posting any cards on here in such a long time.

I've had some problems with my scanner, I think sometimes it has a mind of its own, and I get frustrated.

Thanksgiving has come and gone here. It was nice, but now the holiday rush is in full swing.

Anyways, glad to be back here posting some long awaited cards.

This card is simply awesome. I had it on my favorite list and Michel in Poland was kind enough to send it to me. I looove this card so much.

It's showing a lot of famous buildings in Europe as animals.

It's so cool!

Fire Island Lighthouse

I looove lighthouses and have had the opportunity to see some of them and climb up to the top in two of them. That was an awesome experience.

This here is Fire Island lighthouse on Long Beach, NY.

It's 180 feet (55m) tall and began operating in 1858.

It's now in the National Register of Historical Places.

New Orleans, Louisiana

Here is a beautiful card of the French Quarter in New Orleans, La.

This is Antoine's Restaurant. It has been recognized as one of New Orlean's outstanding and elegant French restaurants since 1840.

I still hope to be able to visit this beautiful city some day.

Dolly Dolphin at Sea World

It's been over a month already since I last posted. I can't believe where the time has gone. I've had a really stressful time during the last 4 weeks or so, there were days, where I'd feel really down and depressed and didn't want to do a whole lot of anything. Still struggling with finding a job too, which seems to go nowhere.

I can only hope that things will get better soon and more stable.

Now to the card!!!

How cute is this card? I loooove it! It's not only cute, it's a puzzle card, which is totally awesome. Perfect for me, since I love to do jigsaw puzzles and dolphins. I was very happy when I found it in my mail box.

Also it's from Sea World. I really hope that I'll get to go there some day and see everything. That will be too cool.

Amberg, Germany

This church is located on top of a hill in Amberg, Germany. It's called Mariahilfberg. Every year they have a festival there for a week in the month of June, with German sausages and such good things.

The rest of the year one can enjoy a cup of coffee or nice meal in the restaurant, that's right beside the church and overlooks the town.

I love finding map cards in my mail box. They're just so much fun.

This one is a map of the state of Indiana.

It was sent to me for the North America June Round Robin. Thank you so much Vicky for the awesome card.

Here are a few facts about this great state. It's nicknamed 'The Hoosier State'.

The state bird is the cardinal, same as in Virginia.

The state flower is the peony.

It's state capital is Indianapolis, which you probably heard of, because of the big Indianapolis 500 raceway.

Holland or The Netherlands

It has been a week already again since my last post, wow! Where has the week gone?

Well I did write some cards and even some letters. Made my first envelopes and did some crocheting.

Anyways, let me get to this awesome card. This was in my favorites.

I just looove this card. It's so adorable, and typical Dutch.

It was for the December Round Robin.

Lots of great colorful stamps and on the left is a Christmas stamp. The colors of it don't come across very well on the scan. The shiny gold border isn't as visible.

New Hampshire, The Granite State

Yeah, another new map card for my collection, but I still have a long ways to go until I have one from every state. This card is also my 1st one of New Hampshire.

I love this one. It's a great one showing the animals and some great sport opportunities in NH.

Dresden, Germany

This is an official card DE-557284 from Germany.

A beautiful night view of Dresden's Catholic Cathedral called the 'Hofkirche.' It is the capital city of Saxony and lies on the river Elbe, not too far away from the Czech border.

On the front of the card it says: 'Dresden, nightly steamboats on parade'. I think it's a lovely view, I like all the lights and the way the clouds look in the sky.

Germany's Northern Lights

I can't believe so much time has passed since my last post. I've been having a bit of trouble with my computer lately. It gets too hot and cuts off. Makes it kind of hard to scan cards, when it does that. I'm not totally sure why this happens?? Still on the hunt for a job too, so taking a lot of time to look at the different job sights and filling out applications, but no response. It gets me quite discouraged at times and depressed, and then I don't feel like doing a whole lot of anything. I'm trying to keep my hopes up and stay positive, but it's pretty difficult to do, when one is feeling down. Anyway enough rambling about that now and on to the cards.

I love light houses and this card is absolutely awesome. It brought a big smile to my face when I found it in my mail box. It's just a great card showing all the light houses of Germany's North and East Coast.

I really love this card. It came from the Postcrossing Meeting in Berlin on 05-21-11.

So it has loads of signatures on it too, which makes it even more special to me.

Sierra Nevada Animals

This is an official card I received almost 2 years ago. US-462263.

All those great animals can be found in the Sierra Nevada Mountains in California.

Pictured are a black bear (my favorite), a mountain lion, a deer, a fox, a bobcat, a chipmunk, a marmot, a raccoon and a coyote. I think they're all great and I love the card and wanted to share it.

California Treasure Map

This is such an awesome map card of the California Treasures. Back in the year 1848 is when the California Gold Rush began. People came from all over hoping to strike it rich.

Now, some people come to California hoping to make it big in movies.

Most people come for the sun and fun and all the attractions.

German Clock Route

This map card is of the 'German Clock Route' in the Black Forest.

It's about 320 km long. On this route you'll find museums related to clocks and of course many clock factories. I'd love to go and see all the fascinating clocks and beautiful scenery and maybe even buy a nice cuckoo clock to bring home.

Got to show at least one map card. I just love them. This one here is really cool, because it has a map and also some pictures of Romania on the right side. The shape of the country is the color of the Romanian flag. On the bottom middle you can see it's capital city Bucharest, which that is where the card was sent from.

St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York

St. Patrick's Cathedral on New York's 5th Avenue is a must-see, when you're there. It's the largest decorated gothic style Catholic cathedral in North America.

We went to see it years ago and lit a candle. The experience was really spiritual somehow.

I remember us sitting on those very steps in front, because we were so tired from all the walking around the city. It was worth it though. Had so much fun.

Russian Matreshka Dolls

I think this card with the Matreshka Dolls is so beautiful. I love them!

It shows the museum in Moscow where you can see these beautiful Russian traditional nesting dolls.

The dolls shown here are part of the exhibition and were made in 2003.

It's been a loooong time since I posted some cards here. I really missed it.

In the last 3 months I had to stay in the hospital twice. I was very sick and almost didn't make it. It was really scary and it makes one think about a lot of things.

So, I've been home trying to regain my strength and hopefully get back to normal. I'm slowly getting there.

Now that I have my scanner hooked up again I can post some cards. I have so maaany, I think it would take me months to get them all scanned.

Since today is Easter, I wanted to post these cute Easter Bunnies. I actually bought this card, so it wasn't sent to me, but I wanted to show it here, because I think it's adorable.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter day with their families and friends with lots of eggs and of course CHOCOLATE...........

I want to wish every one a very Merry Christmas!

My Christmas this year was great, since it was the first time in 4 years I didn't have to work. I was able to enjoy Christmas eve and today with my loved ones and of course the highlight of the day, seeing my grandkids eyes light up and taking part in their excitement after Santa came. It was wonderful and such a joy!

I received some beautiful Christmas cards this year, but since I've been way too busy with things and I'm way behind with getting my cards scanned, shame on me, I don't have any of them to show yet.

I received this gorgeous card for the September Round Robin. It's a real special card from the 'Postcards story event in Haemeenlinna, Finland.

This beautiful arctic card was sent to me by erjamaarit of Finland. It has loads of signatures on it from all the participants at the meet-up. It's always exciting to get a card from one of these events and I hope that some day I'll maybe be able to take part in such an event and meet some other postcrossers.

Here you can see a typical view of one of the small towns in Russia. This is Suzdal and it's a popular tourist destination. I love the architecture of the buildings and churches there and the town covered in snow. It's snowing here right now. So, we actually got some snow for Christmas, which is rare here. Matreshka Dolls from Russia

Where does the time go? I can't believe it's been several weeks, since I've posted some cards here. I just stay so busy with everything and I've got so much going on, it totally overwhelms me. Sometimes I really don't know how to deal with it all. And on top of it, Christmas being less than a week away. I got all the presents bought, that I need to get. Still have to get them wrapped.

Also, I've joined several Round Robins this month and already received some absolutely beautiful cards. I still have to write a few more and get them out too. I've received some gorgeous Christmas cards too! As usual I'm way behind with getting my cards scanned. There just doesn't seem to be enough time in a day to get everything done, that I'd like to do. Hopefully in the New Year, I'll get myself more organized and get caught up on getting my cards sorted and scanned and so on.

And now to the cards!!

I just love these Babushka dolls. I've been wanting a card of them for a long time. This beautiful card was sent to me by Kaurry from Russia for the November Alternative RR.

This card is special in 2 ways, one, it's a card I've been wanting and two, it's from the Moscow Postcrossing Meeting with a lot of signatures of the participants. I love it!

Cities of Poland

The week-end is already half gone again and it seems like that it took forever to get here. Such a long week, even though we had our Thanksgiving holiday this past Thursday, but I had to work. Still had turkey and all the goodies to go along with it, yummy!!! And now there are a lot of leftovers to eat.

Now to the card! How cool is this card? I love it and it has become one of my favorites in my collection and it's also my first round card. It's gorgeous and shows different cities in Poland and the country seal in the middle. Fantastic card, even though I didn't do a real good job of scanning it!

The Flavors of Morocco

Yeeeeah, another Nouvelles Images card. I love them and my collection is slowly growing. :) This one is even more special to me, since I'm quite familiar with the items on the card. Couscous, on the top of the card used to be served about every Friday and I loved all the great baked goods you see on the bottom.

Saaremaa, Estonia

Kiipsaare lighthouse is located on the north west coast of Saaremaa Island, which is the largest island in Estonia. The lighthouse is inactive now, due to wave erosion. The basement of the tower has been severely undermined and as a result it has become inclined sea ward.

I've been wanting this card for a long time and a big 'thank you' goes out to Ella for sending it to me for the September RR. I love this card.

The card has some really beautiful stamps. The one on the right has a really pretty golden background, which can't be seen very well here. The one on the left is a great lighthouse stamp. Love them both!

Belgrade, Serbia

Well, another week-end is over. I slept off and on, I guess I needed it, catching up on my rest. Also this week-end I went to a postcard show here in Richmond, which was really fun and very interesting. There is more about it here.

Now about the card. My dear friend Ana took a recent trip to Belgrade and sent me this gorgeous card. Thank you so very much Ana for thinking of me.

I loooove this card and it's also my 1st card from there. Yeeeaaah, a new country!!!

This is Kalemegdan Fortress. The back of the card says, it's one of the biggest preserved medieval fortresses in Europe. Favorite Belgrade Park area with a lot of cultural, historical and sports facilities and events, as well as clubs and restaurants. CharlesVI (KarloVI) gate was raised in 18th century, in the honor of the Austrian Emperor, conqueror of Belgrade against Ottoman Empire.

The stamp is very beautiful..

The card tells all the facts about Grizzly Bears, which is great. The maple leaves on the card are embossed. Beautiful card!!!!

Brazil

This card of the Brazilian flag was sent to me by Tarcisio for the October Alernative Round Robin. Love this card and it's a wonderful addition to my flag collection, which is still pretty small. Thank you so very much Tarcisio for this great card.

The 27 star version of the Brazilian flag was adopted on May 11th, 1992. The blue disc represents a starry sky. Each star represents a state. "Ordem E Progresso" is the national motto, meaning order and progress.

Love the stamp with a picture of Santo Andre - SP. Really pretty.

Malta!!!!

Maaaalta!!! Yeah, a new country for me. I was so excited to receive this card. Ulpa, one of the GTKY girls was lucky to visit there this summer and she was so nice to send me this beautiful card from there. I loooove it! Ula writes, that the architecture there is so impressive and the villages are very charming with white house and narrow streets. She said the sea was warm with clear water and beach with orange sand. Sounds like a lovely place to visit. Oh yeah, maybe some day............

The card shows Ta' Pinu Church in Gozo, which was built between 1920 and 1936.

I had this card in my favorites, because I think it's a really cool card. Not only is it a map card, but it has the colors of the Russian flag and of course the babushka dolls, which are really so nice too.

This is a totally awesome card. I love it and definitely had to post it here.

This card shows the use of the word "sorry" in different situations.

I'm sure Andy chose this stamps, because he loves cards with any kind of transportation on it and stamps too, looks like. This really is an great looking stamp.

Teddy Bears hanging out to dry

This is such a fun card. First of all, I love bears and this reminds me of when my daughter was about 3 years old and she had a stuffed dog, whom she took everywhere with her, so he had to get washed from time to time and got hung out to dry as these guys here.

I received this card from Paola72 for the September RR. Thank you so much for this adorable card. I love it. No stamp for this one to show, since it was mailed here in the states.

Since I received quite a few cards this month for Halloween, I thought it'd be a good day to post them.

My grandkids were so excited about going to go out 'Trick or Treating' today. The older one, who is 3 years old wanted to wear his costume this morning already and he was ready to go, lol.

It's fun to see the little ones at holiday time.

Now to the cards, I received them all for the North America October Round Robin. It's a real fun RR and I really enjoy participating in it each month. I have done so for over a year now and hope to be able to continue with them. They're a great bunch of people.

This adorable card came from jenhart75. I love it! A great reprint from the early 20th century. Thank you so much Jennifer for sending it.

Another great vintage reprint. This one came from cawindt. Thank you so much Craig for the cute card. Love it!

This is a really awesome one with a cat sitting amidst jack-o-lanterns. It came from Lori, she is from the GTKY gang and loves all cards with cats. Thank you so much for this cute card Lori. I love it!

This card is Chas Addams card. He was the creator of "The Addams Family". It was a great series on television back in the 60's and I still enjoy watching the reruns, when I get a chance. There were also 2 movies in the 90's and now a Broadway hit musical, which I didn't know about the later.

I received this cool card twice this month. From emeraldmist and skowt. Thank you to you both for this great card. I love it! Thank you Corinne for the information about it;)

This last one, another really cool vintage reprint from nhigh. She has been our host for this Round Robin and is doing an excellent job. Thank you so much Naomi for the great card and running this Round Robin.:)

Wow, I was selected for "The Versatile Blogger Award". I never expected it and quite honestly, I still can't believe it. I was totally stunned, when I found out. In shock!!!

At the same time though, I'm really thrilled about it and not sure that I deserve such an honor.

My dear friend Ana selected me for this award. She is truly such an amazing friend and so very special to me and much too kind.

Here are 7 things about me:)

1. I'm an only child also, as Ana. I used to be the kid with a key on a chain, as both of my parents worked and I spent a lot of time by myself.

2. I have one daughter, whom I'm very proud of. She has given me two adorable grandsons.

3. I love doing crafts, but unfortunately I don't have a lot of time for it. I just recently got back into crocheting and joined a granny square exchange, which was a lot of fun. I also like cross stitching and trying to make my own cards and jewelry.

4. I collect magnets. My refrigerator is covered in them and I have a door almost full and a few magnetic boards, that display them.

5. I love bears and anything with bears on them. I have over 50 teddybears and of course lots of bear postcards and other items around the house with bears on them.

6. I love to go bowling. I was in a bowling league for quite a few years. Even though I'm not a real good bowler, I do enjoy it a lot!

7. I love travelling, which in the recent years I haven't been able to do, due to limited time off and income, but it's fun to just arm chair travel now with all the great postcards I receive. I can see so many beautiful places all over the world and meet lots of really nice people.

Well, those are a few things about me!

There are several great postcard blogs that I've been following and I'd like to pass this award to some of them in no particular order. Diane, who posts her beautiful cards almost every day and has way over 2000 of them already. Ave, who really loves map cards and has some awesome ones and Pinar, who says, she's an obsessed postcrosser with her great blog. LOL, I think we are all obsessed.

I can't believe it's has been over a month, since I've posted some cards here. For a while there I wasn't feeling too well and all I managed to do is go to work, sleep and lay around the house. Needless to say, it put me way behind with everything. Still catching up on writing my Round Robin cards :(

These guys are part of Tasmania's nature. The card is a panoramic card, really beautiful and over sized. I love it!

On the left is the Eastern Grey Kangaroo. In the middle a pair of Yellow-tailed Black-Cockatoos. On the right the Tasmanian Devil, like the cartoon character 'Taz' lol.

Loooove these Nouvelles Images cards. I'm always so happy to find one of these in my mail box. They are such cool cards.

This one is showing all kinds of planes, jets and even a hot air balloon.

I love this card!

The stamps are very beautiful too! The one on the right has a silvery kind of emblem. It's not really noticeable on the picture.

Iguassu Falls, Brazil

This card is of the famous Iguassu Falls in Brazil. The falls are located on the border of Brazil and Argentina. They were added to the UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984.

It is a very beautiful view and quite breathtaking. It would be awesome to go see them some day.

Right now, I'm happy just happy to have this great postcard of them. Thank you so much to Tarcisio for sending this wonderful card as part of the August RR.

Rhode Island

It's always nice to get a map card. I love them and I hope that eventually I'll have one for every state. I've got a long way to go on that though.;)

This map is of Rhode Island and it's the smallest state in the USA. It's called 'The Ocean State' and nicknamed 'Little Rhody'.

Yummy chocolates!!! I was so happy to find all these sweets in my mail box. I absolutely love this card with all those delicious goodies. This is my 2nd Nouvelles Images card. They're so awesome and this one in particular. Who could resist one of these yummy treats? I think I have to search my cupboards for some chocolate now, lol !!! Fantastic card!

Knut, Berlin, Germany

I've been wanting a card of this little adorable guy for such a long time and thanks to Michaela I have one now. Yeaaaah !!!! I used to see him on TV and heard so much about him and I think he's sooooo sweet and adorable. Can't help but love him!!!

He was born at the Berlin Zoo on December 5th, 2006 and since he was rejected by his mother at birth, the zookeepers raised him. He's so well known and I remember, that they had a song about him too.

According to Wikipedia, he became a huge tourist attraction and increased zoo attendance by 30%. "Knutmania" was born.

Vormsi, Estonia

This beautiful lighthouse is in Vormsi, Estonia. I love this view and the beach. It looks so inviting to take a nice stroll along the water's edge enjoying the fresh air and nature.

Here is a little bit of information from the back of the card. The lighthouse is located on Vormsi Island. The height from the bottom is 24 m and the light altitude is 27 m.

The cast iron tower (1871), prefabricated in Lithuania, replaced a tower manufactured in England in 1864.

I received this vintage reprint camel card for the July RR and I love it! It's an awesome card. It was sent from Switzerland by Zasa. Vielen lieben Dank Sara fuer die tolle Karte.

Also some very nice stamps. The Albert Anker stamp is a Sondermarke, which means a special edition stamp, I think??? Getting all these beautiful stamps on the cards makes me want to get back into stamp collecting, but I think it's difficult to remove the stamps without damaging the cards and somehow it will take the uniqueness away from the cards too. Therefore, I like to keep them on the card to admire.

The Little Prince

Finally Friday and another work week behind me. These last weeks have been quite stressful at work for some reason.

How about this awesome card. I wanted to get a 'Little Prince' card for the longest time and "yoohoo" here it is. I was so happy to receive my very first one. Christine from Germany was so kind and sent me this one for the June RR. I loooooove this card and hope it's going to be one of many. Christine, vielen lieben Dank fuer die tolle Karte.

The card reads: 'All big people (or grown-ups) were children at one time'.

The stamp looks like it's from a children's story called 'Selmo Lagerloef'. Nice one!

This is a small village in County Cork located in the South of Ireland, where you often can find such houses in different colors. I just love all those colorful houses, especially the pink one lol.

Animals of the North, Finland

She writes that in Lapland one is most likely to see the moose or the reindeer, but the others are vulnerable or endangered, which is quite sad.

It came with this really pretty Aurora borealis stamp. Unfortunately it wasn't postmarked.

The Great Lakes

The Great Lakes are located between the United States and Canada. They consist of 5 lakes as seen on the map and are the largest group of freshwater lakes on earth. Sometimes called the North Coast by Americans. They hold 20 % of the world's surface fresh water. (Source wikipedia)

Petra, is a UNESCO World Heritage Sight and it's one of the most spectacular tourist attractions in Jordan. The card shows 'The Garden Temple'.

Acapulco, Mexico

Today is very hooooot here with temperatures of 103F (39.5C) and factoring in the humidity with a heat index of over 108F (42C+). So, if you can't be at the beach or near a pool, it's best to stay inside under the A/C. At least I'm off today and it feels soooo good not to have to worry about having to go to work.

Now to the card. My very 1st one from Mexico, yeah:):). This card is called 'The Magic of Acapulco' and it's a really great card. It would be a wonderful thing to be able to spend a week or so in such a tropical place just relaxing and having fun and not think about too much, but...........oh well, at least I can dream about such places looking at some of the beautiful cards I've received, since I've started postcrossing.

A special thank you goes out to Elena for sending me this gorgeous card for the North American RR for April. It's the first time since I've participated in this RR, that we had someone from Mexico, which is awesome.

Some very nice stamps on this card. The one on the left of a beautiful California Condor and the other looks to be some artisan Mexican craftmanship. Really nice!!! Also the postmark is very clear and visible.

This great card shows the Sultan Samad Building, which is the Judicial Department and High Court. The card says, that it was constructed in 1987 and has long been a landmark for Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia. I can see why, I think it's such a beautiful architectural building and I love this view very much. A big thank you goes to Shian Chin for sending me this wonderful card for the May RR.

Strong Mouse

Yeah, it's finally Friday. It seems the work week just keeps going slower and slower and the week-ends fly by and before I know it, I find myself going back to work to start yet another week. I'm quite tired and worn out and just thankful to have this week-end off and not having to go to my other job. Of course I have a million and one things to do and hope to get at least a few of them done;)

It's called 'Starke Maus' and translated means 'Strong Mouse'. I think this is such a cool card. Seems like I remember a story from my childhood, where a mouse scared an elephant? I think if my memory serves me right, it was from 'Puss and Boots'. Please, do correct me, because I could be totally off on this and it seems my memory isn't like it used to be, lol.

I love this card of Warsaw, Poland. The night view pictures are so beautiful. It would be a great place to visit and see all these gorgeous sights. It shows the Grand Theater on top. The Twilight Saga

I thought it was only fitting to post these cards today, since tonight at midnight the 3rd movie of the saga will premier. I'm excited to go see 'Eclipse', but have to wait until the week-end to go, because of work. I definitely love seeing Edward and Bella together!!!!

I mentioned in my profile, that I'd love to have some cards related to the 'Twilight' series and I received some really awesome cards in the mail this month. I'm so happy to get them, because I haven't been able to find them here anywhere.

This card I received not only once, but 3 times, wow. I was so happy to receive them. It just made my day to find them in my mail box. Even though I have more than one, each one of them is very special to me and many, many thanks go out to Sheila from Portugal, MarianneJS from the Netherlands and Maija from Finland. This beautiful place is called Ha Noi. Oh, I'd love to take a leisurely stroll through those beautiful gardens. It's such a lovely place. I love the pink blossoms and that great bridge. Wow, what a breathtaking place.

The stamps are so beautiful too with all the colors on it. Really so pretty!

This is Ha Long Bay. It would be awesome to take a boat ride through there enjoying the beautiful scenery. Vietnam is a really beautiful place and I hope that some day I can go there, but for right now, I'm enjoying the fantastic views on these lovely cards and dream about going there.

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Yeah, it's finally Friday and I'm off this week-end. I'm sooo happy to have 2 days off for a change. I really need it, because I'm just totally exhausted.

Right now, I'm at Panera's enjoying a coffee mocha and a bear claw pastry. Love those, yum!!! It just feels good to be out and not have to worry about having to get home and get ready for work.

I've decided to show this card. It's a real fun, colorful card and I love it. I've been to Myrtle Beach before and it's an awesome place with lots to do and the beach is really nice too.

Alligators and Crocodiles

What an awesome card! I totally love this card. Not only does it have alligators and crocodiles, which I love, but it's also my very first Nouvelles card and they are really sooooo cool!

A few years ago I went to a place called 'Alligator Adventures' in South Carolina and they really do jump out of the water like that. It was really amazing to watch. I loved it there! I guess people would say I'm kind of weird, but I find them (alligators) very fascinating. They're such cool, amazing creatures! LOL.

Bear from British Columbia, Canada

It's been a while since I've posted here. Always too much going on with work and everyday life and just being totally exhausted from it all, plus not feeling my best here lately. Finally a week-end off, yeah!!!!

I wanted to show this totally cool card which I received for the April Round Robin. It's my first wooden card and a bear on it too, so it's totally perfect for me, since I love bears and this one is a cutie, even though he has a very serious look about him. I was very lucky that the card didn't get damaged going through the mail. It's made from Eastern Red Cedar and was sent to me from Canada. Thank you soooooo much to Tam for sending me this totally awesome card. I loooooove it!!!!! It's one of my very special cards in my collection!

A little bit of info about the Black Bear. It's one of the most common bear species native to North America and it can run as fast as 50 km per hour. The black bears are considered highly efficient hibernators and can live up to 33 years old.

This adorable card was an RAS card from Dees on behalf of one of the GTKY girls. Katie knows how much I love bears and after a few days convinced Dees to send it to me. Thank you so very much Katie! It means so much to me! It was a nice surprise to find this adorable card in my mail box.:)

Yeah, finally Friday! It's been a long week. It's raining out, but it's not very cold. I'm just happy to have a little time off to catch up on posting some of my cards and getting some much needed rest, since it's another work day tomorrow.

This very beautiful card shows the traditional Vietnamese dress. I love their colors and the nice tropical scenery.

Australia

This is a very beautiful view of the Eastern Beach in Geelong, Victoria from Sara in Australia for the January RR. She writes that it's very hot there, about 44 C. We could use a little bit of this heat here, since it's been so cold and we had some more snow last Tuesday evening, but luckily the ground was a bit too warm, so it didn't stick to the roads and later it actually turned to rain. I've had enough of the snow this year, which is quite unusual for this area.

It would really be so nice to just walk along this beach and enjoy the sand, palms and warm sun! This is a great place to visit during the summer, since it has a protected swimming area.

It looks just gorgeous and I want to thank Sarah for sending this beautiful card and bringing me some sunshine!:)

The card shows (clockwise) the Ortigas Center and Megamall, the entrance to Intramuros, a former Spanish residence, A Spanish-inspired horse-driven calesa in front of Rizal Monument, Makati, a business district of the Philippines and San Augustin Church, one of the oldest churches in the Philippines.

It's a really nice city with both modern and a lot of historical places too. Would be nice to visit there some day;).
